Laura Montllor’s “Who Would Leave That Here”

Laura Montllor started painting watercolors after working as an architect for 30 years in partnership with her husband. After his death from a battle with brain cancer, she began daily walks in the woods of Long Island Sound. These natural landscapes give a serene, life-affirming panacea that is evident in her art pieces through their fluid vibrancy. Her approach to painting is meditative and her hope is to inspire others to observe their world with mindfulness and renewed joy.

Montllor is a registered architect, experienced practitioner, age-in-place and universal design expert. Her art will be exhibited in the Syosset Public Library’s art gallery from through Jan. 28 and is open to the public. See more paintings at LauraMontllor.com or @Panacea_Painting.
