Painting_121615AAbout 10 years ago, Barbara Lewin was diagnosed with Myofascal Pain Syndrome (MPS), which compromised the use of her right arm. Lewin’s doctor, knowing that she had previously dabbled with painting, suggested that she resume painting as part of a new approach to physical therapy.

Fast forward to present day, Lewin has joined the Town of Oyster Bay Rotational Artist Program, exhibited her artwork in many Long Island libraries (including Jericho Public Library), several businesses, banks, restaurants and shopping malls. Lewin also have received ribbons in juried art shows, given painting demos (Bob Ross style) and has taught painting classes.
