Town sanitation and S.O.R.T. recycling collection schedules will be modified for the Monday, September 1, Labor Day holiday. There is no sanitation or S.O.R.T. recycling collection on Labor Day. Residents who usually receive sanitation or recycling collection on Mondays will now have their garbage pickup on Tuesday, September 2, and Tuesday customers will receive collection on Wednesday, September 3. Once the holiday weekend has passed sanitation and collection dates will resume their usual day. On Labor Day, all Town offices and the Town Ice Skating Center will be closed. All Town Beaches and Pools close for the season at 6 p.m., with the exception of Tobay Beach, which will remain open on September 6 and 7.
