On a beautiful June evening, The Long Island Council of Save the Children held a 30th Birthday Bash and fundraiser celebrating its founding by Susan Lassen and the late ML Gaston Held at Jericho’s Meadowbrook Club, the event raised more than $400,000 for the organization, widely regarded as the world’s top independent charity for children in need.
