On June 19, the South Grove graduating class of 2014 had a blast at their highly anticipated dance at Crest Hollow. It was an all around great party to mark their departure from their “second home” for the past 6 years. Boys and girls, all beautifully dressed, walked into a ballroom at Crest Hollow to find a festive room filled with balloons in the Syosset colors and amazing food stations. They were greeted by the Principal, Ms. Theresa Scrocco, their teachers, and a group of 5th grade parents.
For four hours straight, DJ Jamie, from Lovett Entertainment, made sure the children were entertained and engaged the whole time. The dancing and games never ended! There wasn’t one student or a teacher sitting on the side. One by one the most brave would take the center of the dance floor showing their entertainment talents. The highlight of the event was the photo booth, that was open throughout the party, that let the kids take their final shots together before they move on to the Middle School.
The event was made possible by the tireless efforts of a group of 5th grade parents volunteering their time. Great Job! What an exciting way to end the children’s last year at South Grove!
