Jericho Man Running For Judge

judgeOn Tuesday, November 4th, Joe Lorintz, a Jericho resident for 31 years, will be seeking election as a Judge of the Family Court of the State of New York for Nassau County. Lorintz was nominated by the Nassau County Democratic Committee at its annual convention held at the Cradle of Aviation on May 27. The Nassau County Bar Association has found him to be “Well Qualified” to serve as a Judge of the Family Court.

Since January 2007, Lorintz has served as the Principal Law Clerk to a NYS Supreme Court Justice, assigned to handle family, matrimonial and civil matters. He is highly regarded as a knowledgeable, forthright, fair and helpful member of the Court system. Prior to his appointment in the Supreme Court, Joe was in private practice for over 23 years. His practice concentrated in the areas Family and Matrimonial Law, real estate and civil litigation.

Joe has also been a tireless community leader on Long Island for many years. He has served his community in many capacities. He is the long-time President of the Oakwood Princeton Park Civic Association and the United Civic Associations of North Oyster Bay. He has been a Trustee of the Jericho School Board since 2004, serving as its Vice-President and President. Joe Lorintz also served as Chair of the Oyster Bay Town Environmental Control Commission.

The Long Island Sierra Club, the Jericho/Brookville Lions Club, Vision Long Island, the Old Westbury College Foundation, the Long Island Works Coalition and the Syosset-Woodbury Rotary Club have all recognized Joe Lorintz for his environmental and community efforts.

  1. Judge Lorintz outsuide the courtroom may be an honorable person but inside the courtroom his is arrogant, bias and anything but honorable. He should be removed from the brench, stripped of his powers to make another ruling and brought up on charges as an accessory to murder. Think of how many lives it would save. What the people of Nassau County needs is honrable judges. I signed a petition ot have him removed and hopefully disbarred. How does he live with himself day in and day out? A better question is how deoes his family live with him? He should be ashamed of himself. My accounts with Judge Lorintz was anything but fair. he deciion and ruling capabilites are non-existant.How did he get this far in the system wiothout anyone ever investigating him? Hope his has a good lawyer, the county will be watching. Thank you for your diservicve Judge Lorintz.
